Ini Brown is an African artist from Nigeria. Ini Brown is renowned as a Water colorist, even though he paints a lot with Oils, Acrylics etc. Recently, Ini has been painting with heavy Impasto Oils with Palette knives on canvas. Ini Brown is one of the most versatile and prolific water colorist practicing art in Africa in recent times. His creativity, ingenuity and dexterity with water color medium is breath taking. His unique technique in the dramatic use of colors is awesome and intimidating.
Ini is a practicing artist that captures the everyday lives of Nigerians within the diversity of his environment.
Being an artist and painting especially in Water color is what keeps me ticking. My obsession with the water color medium as I use it to explore my subjects mostly the everyday landscapes, people, seascapes, hopes and aspirations, etc. is fulfilling.
